Nasce a Roma il 23 Aprile 1963, vive e lavora da molti anni a Grosseto. Fin da ragazzo ha avuto la passione per ogni tipo di attività artistica, principalmente per il disegno e la pittura. Per completare la sua cultura artistica ha svolto il liceo artistico. Con il passare degli anni una nuova forma artistica lo assale: la Fotografia. Scopre che con Essa si aprono delle finestre sulla vita di tutti i giorni, la vita di persone comuni, gente che lavora, prega, piange, ride e s’innamora, vive. Si immortala lo scorrere del tempo catturando, a volte, un normale momento del quotidiano e rendendolo unico, memorabile. Principalmente i suoi scatti sono rivolti al figurativo. In prevalenza sono i gesti e gli sguardi innocenti dei bambini che attirano il suo interesse. Ultimamente con l’avvento del digitale nuove forme espressive escono dalla sua mente. Il computer e le moderne macchine fotografiche digitali lo trascinano completamente in questo magnifico mondo iperrealistico. Decide quindi di compiere il gran salto abbandonando definitivamente la pellicola per passare al digitale.

Carlo Durano was born in Rome the 23rd of April of 1963, he lives and works since several years in Grosseto. Since he was a boy, he had passion for each type of artistic activity, mainly for design and painting. In order to complete his artistic culture, he studied Fine Arts. With happening of the years, a new artistic form attracted him: photography. He discovers that with it he can open windows on the every day's life, the life of common people, people who works, who prays, who cries, laughs and falls in love, who lives. Passing of the time is immortalized with the capture, sometimes, a single normal moment, transforming it as unique, memorable. Mainly his pictures are figurative. The glances of the children prevail, as they attract his interest. Last, with the digital coming, new expressives forms blow out from his mind. The computer and the modern digital cameras completely drag him in this magnificent iperrealistic world. He decides therefore to make the great jump, leaving definitively the film, in order to become digital.
